Intern Voices

Working as an intern at IV-Thailand was a valuable opportunity to take the initiative in fields I had no prior experience in, such as public relations and event management. My main responsibilities included managing social media, translation, creating and managing events, and researching grants. I thought practically about how to convey the organization’s mission and increase interest and engagement, and went through a process of trial and error, such as producing Reel videos.

I’ve been interested in international cooperation since high school, so being able to apply the knowledge of international development I gained in college to practical public relations work was a significant experience. While I came to realize the challenges of fundraising, I found it deeply rewarding to see how interest in social issues grew through the events we organized.

It was also highly meaningful to accompany staff to the front lines, places students rarely have access to, such as meetings with partner organizations and project site visits. I was inspired by the staff’s passionate approach to providing support, which further solidified my decision to build a career in this field.

I really recommend this internship not only to those interested in international cooperation and social contribution but also to anyone who wants to develop practical communication skills and the ability to drive projects forward.
